The Group’s early success was rooted in personal care and cosmetic imports, introducing recognized brands such as Lana and Jwanan to the Iraqi market in 2002. Building on this foundation, Sura expanded its expertise in logistics, supply management and product sourcing, strengthening its role as a key commercial bridge between China and the Middle East.
In 2005, Sura Trade was established as a strategic gateway between China and Iraq, facilitating the import, sourcing, and supply of a wide range of products through offices in Yiwu, Guangzhou, Erbil and Kirkuk.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2012 with the establishment of Sura Manufacturing in Ranya, Iraq, specializing in personal care, cosmetic, and detergent production, along with plastic recycling. The company has since partnered with respected regional players, including Iranian Corporate Swiss Rose Company which is an arm of Paksho Industrial Group and Afif Detergent Products, to enhance local manufacturing capacity and sustainability.
